Timor-Leste

Scope status

This note captures Timor-Leste’s role in the GIPTA 2.0 document stack. It does not claim current operational SBAS implementation.

Current role in the GIPTA branch

Timor-Leste is important because Dili hosted the GIPTA 2.0 GNSS Site Workshop for ASEAN on 14-15 April 2026 and because GIPTA material proposes Timor-Leste as a future GNSS analysis/testbed expansion location.

GIPTA-supported evidence

  • Dili workshop agenda covered GNSS/SBAS operations, RFI, WRC-27, non-aviation SBAS, testbed development, and ASEAN implementation roadmap.
  • Timor-Leste stakeholders appear in the participant/institutional context together with Indonesia, Philippines, ASEAN Secretariat/Japan/JRANSA-related actors.
  • The testbed-development proposal identifies Timor-Leste as a proposed new GNSS data-analysis system location, with installation timing shown in the GIPTA planning material.

Boundary

Timor-Leste is a GIPTA host/testbed-expansion context here, not evidence of current certified SBAS service.
