ASEAN SBAS Testbed
Definition status
The ASEAN SBAS testbed is treated as a proposed / developing analytical and simulation environment, not as operational SBAS service provision.
Working definition
In the GIPTA source stack, the testbed combines GNSS data-analysis equipment, shared low-latitude ionospheric monitoring data, cloud/central processing concepts, and SBAS message simulation to support ASEAN feasibility analysis.
Distinct boundary
This note is about the testbed and evidence-building mechanism. It does not duplicate generic ionospheric modeling content in Ionospheric Model Validation or Indonesia-specific empirical GNSS-RO research in SBAS Ionospheric Threat — Empirical Evidence.
GIPTA-supported elements
- analyzer sites are discussed for Manila, Jakarta, Bangkok, and Hanoi
- proposed expansion includes Timor-Leste and possibly Kalimantan, Indonesia
- the technical purpose is low-latitude ionosphere survey, data sharing, and SBAS message simulation
- the output supports feasibility and planning, not immediate certification
